Systems Engineers

Since 1990, T-Plan has been providing leading edge test management solutions to blue-chip organisations throughout the UK. We are best known for our software solutions, but have also, for the past 3 years, successfully provided consultancy alongside the T-Plan toolset. We are now expanding our consultancy capabilities in response to demand from our customers, and are currently recruiting Systems Engineers to join our team.

Working within the T-Plan team will require a true consultancy approach from you, whether working alone or as part of a larger team. In the first instance you are likely to be working between Reading and Basingstoke, however it is preferred that you be fully mobile throughout the UK, including a UK driving licence, happy to work away from home during the working week, and prepared to put the hours in when the project demands. Strong communication skills at both technical and non-technical level are essential, as is the professional, business-like appearance you present.

We prefer our managers to lead from the front, and are seeking enablers who are able to manage teams & tasks one day, and undertake work at task level the next, all the time correctly balancing the needs of project and individual. You will have the proven capability to conduct problem solving, making systematic and rational judgements based upon relevant information, evaluating solutions and determining appropriate actions.

You will have had exposure to all of the elements required to analyse, acquire, plan, configure, implement and validate systems. Enhanced experience of Requirements Management and Verification & Validation Management is an advantage, however the key to success is the ability to efficiently and accurately integrate many components into a harmonious system which provides the users with precisely what they require.

You will be familiar with industry definitions of System Engineering, and be able to communicate the concepts to wide-ranging audiences. Most importantly however, you will have proven experience of applying theoretical concepts into real-world scenarios where the constraints of Cost, Time, & Quality apply.

You will be required to demonstrate clear, concise, fluent & unambiguous communication at all levels, including board level formal presentations.
